Lana's Lab - Progress update 9/29/24
Hello all!
As mentioned before, I'm currently working on overhauling the menus to have more polish and allow players to unlock different puzzle sections which unlock new game mechanics (e.g. bombs, bacteria, etc). Here are a couple of screenshots:
The levels can be "mastered" if you achieve all the stars in a level, so they are marked with a star. If a level was played but not mastered, it just has a checkmark like below:
Stars are achieved based on number of moves. Each level has an "optimal" solution. I will probably show the number of moves necessary after their first try on the "monitor" on the right.
Sections unlock with stars, so depending on your performance, you can unlock sections faster or slower. You can always retry to get a better "best score" to get more stars.
Still a work in progress though, the monitor screen on the right doesn't do much more than show the stars that you have won on a level. I'm planning on adding more details to the background image and such, but it's functional!
This change also required re-writing how progress data is stored since now sections can be advanced separately from each other.
